Nearly 40 years ago, the community rose up in response to the harm caused by the 15 freeway, and it was out of this activism, resilience, and belief in better that we were born.

New Roots Coordinator

We are seeking a New Roots Coordinator to manage the planning, development, and upkeep of our 2.3-acre community garden/farm in City Heights, San Diego. The role involves ensuring smooth operations, promoting sustainable practices, and fostering clear communication among garden/farmer members. Collaborating with our Economic Development Program Manager and Senior Program Manager, the Coordinator will lead efforts to enrich community placemaking initiatives within the garden/farm.

Director of Economic Development

We're seeking a Director of Economic Development to drive strategic initiatives for business growth, job creation, and community revitalization. The role involves securing funding, collaborating with stakeholders, and aligning economic efforts with organizational goals. This position offers a unique opportunity for a results-oriented leader to make a significant impact on City Heights' economic landscape.
